Hello world,
We recorded a track with our friend Kev Love from the Popular Losers (Loser Krew). He’s an amazing artist and we were really excited to work with him on an original track. Most of “Get It All” was recorded and mixed at home, apart from the drums, which were recorded with John at Small City Studios. The background music is a looped cover of one of the songs our friends’ old band used to play Deathskull and Her Rigormorts (R.I.P.). You can still check out some of their stuff at myspace.com/deathbydeathskull.
Thanks to Kev Love for writing and laying down vocals over our track on such short notice. Much love. Thanks to Deathskull, your band-lifespan may have been short, but it was definitely worthwhile. Thanks to John at Small City for being fantastic. And thanks to anyone who cares enough to listen to this track, we really appreciate the support:)
Enjoy!
We made this music video about 2 summers ago. We didn’t release it because the recording wasn’t mixed down and our producer had stopped returning our calls and emails after we had forced Jenna out of the band. So the recording of the song isn’t a mixed and mastered version. Which was one setback (We’ll rerecord it for those of you who would like an mp3).
We also didn’t want to release it because we had kicked Jenna out of the band due to personal conflicts. We thought it’d be incoherent to release a video with her in it, but soon realized, its not like were some famous band so who the hell cares, right? We’re not trying to make it big time and we sure as hell aren’t making any money from this endeavor so we should just release what we’ve made. We do want to take this opportunity to say we had one hell of a time with Jenna and wish her only the best with her new band, Big Whup.
The video was directed by our friend Steven Drypolcher. Enjoy!
Helllloooo. This is Jacq Cousteau. I recorded drum tracks for a bunch of our songs on Sunday (very long and very tiring, but very worth it). Be excited about it! We are!
So yes, for the people out there who care, we will be coming out with some new music very VERY soon. So stay tuned!
Here’s a track that I have been blasting all day ERRday: “Fire” Lupe Fiasco on the Tapemasters Inc – This is Hip Hop 9 mixtape. You know what’s on fire? That beat! Careful, because I definitely burned myself on this one.
